Grey tank drainage problem

Just returned early from a trip due to a grey tank drainage problem. It started, we think, with over-filling the grey tank while the shower drain was closed. After draining the tank, the shower and galley sink both had slow/almost-no drainage. We treated both drains with baking soda/vinegar and saw some improvement. But we could hear “glub-glub” sounds from down below as both drained, suggesting a venting problem with the grey tank. The shower and galley sink drained better when the grey tank drain to the sewer hose was left opened, which is how we limped through the final days of our trip. The black tank works fine (thankfully). We routinely rinse both holding tanks with a Flush King. Any advice/ideas on how to proceed are welcome.
