Cool camping checklist

Hi, my husband and I will be picking up our new 19foot on September 8th. We are very good tent campers but total amateurs when it comes to anything to do with trailers. To help us get started does anyone out there have a check list for both getting ready to go camping and for clean up when they come home.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give

Erie

Here is my generic checklist, it would be a good starting place for you to add to or delete items as needed. Proud Canadian- Camping Checklist

I keep one sorted by compartment as a word document on my laptop, and add/drop items as I plan a trip. As I pack the trailer I check each item off.

Since I take long trips, I print a copy of the final list and put it in with my Escape papers that I keep in the trailer. That way when I'm looking for an item that I haven't use 4-5 months after packing, I can still find it without having to take everything out of a cabinet or storage bin.

Just clarifying Jon, so besides the list you have each item's location marked as to where it is in the trailer?

After a little more research on this forum, we are heading across town to Camping World for a few things in the next several weeks. A better sewer hose is a high priority item. Loren

If you are totally new to all things trailering, in addition to listing things to take - you may find it useful to prepare a detailed step by step list to follow each time you prepare and hook-up the trailer/tow

Something I read that stuck with me is someone saying they try to follow exactly the same procedure each time. Boring but effective

There's an Arrival and Departure Checklist on FiberglassRV.com. It's in the Document Center - and you prolly have to register to be able to download it. (Not sure.) You might find it useful.
