Moose Mountain Prov Park SK
Last night of our month long trip before arriving home tomorrow. Quiet campground could be because of the billions of tent caterpillars munching their way through the poplar forest. After a trip down a rough highway had to clean up tipped salsa jar which lost its lid. Other than the quiet lakeside site not a great way to end our holidays.

No frogs around?
We have been at that campground years ago. Just up my alley. Pretty much in the boonies.
Always good to get home safe and sound!

Beautiful Maine
Almost don't want to share it's such a nice park, boondocking but they have a dump and water to fill tanks at the service area (fill before you go to your site). Huge private sites many right on the bay. Cobscook Bay State Park.

We tent camped there off the motorcycle during our honeymoon. Gorgeous sites overlooking the water. Just yesterday Katrina mentioned going back that way.

Gorgeous! We bring our kayaks with us when we travel and our son moved to Michigan last year. Looks like Union Bay is on our list now.

I appears the sun reflecting off the red and white exterior creates a pinkish hue, but I'm not aware of pink being an Escape color.

Sure it is. This is the chart for the colors and I see pink.

Up From Hoopa
Took 229 North of Eureka to Willow Creek then up the 96 to Hoopa Indian Reservation. Then up & over Bald Hills Road. Whoa! Takes you down through Redwood National & State Parks. Don't do it from West to East or you will burn your brakes. The Trinity River is pretty awesome right now; Hoopa Reservation has nice c.g. for $15. Very friendly people. Took the river shot from near where we parked the trailer for day use.

You are welcome . Lots of fun day trips from Cobscook Bay too if you have the time to stay a bit. Kayaking on the bay, Lubec, Quoddy Head state park with awesome hike along the bold coast, Campobello Island with Roosevelt home and Herring Cove Provincial Park, Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge and one of my favorite experiences is a boat trip to Machias seal island to see the puffins and razorbills. Puffin tours to Machias Seal Island from Cutler, Maine - Bold Coast Charter Company offers puffin trips and other coastal sightseeing excursions on the downeast coast of Maine.. such an amazing thing to see from inches away while you are in the hide. Only two boats per day allowed during the season, this one and one from the Canadian side leaving from Grand Manan Island. Hard to get tickets but if you are going next year you should be able to get them. Wish I were there now!

We are leaving home July 15 for a trip in our "new" Escape 5.0 to Upper Michigan. How was the Union Bay campground? I have it on my list as a possible place to stay. The other is Sunday Lake Campground in Wakefield.
We are bringing our new inflatable kayak. Are those kayakers paddling on Lake Superior?
Very cool photo, by the way!

We were camping at Stillwater Campground on Lake Granby near Granby, Colorado earlier this month. This is near the west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
We always having stunning views by the lake and this one included the full moon as it was starting to get dark.
Indeed, there is never a bad day in the mountains!

I missed your post and although it's a little late now to answer your questions I'll do it anyway.
Union Bay was nice (but very wet back when we were there in June. Good shower house and very nice camp hosts who put out all kinds of games, toys, and books for people to borrow.
Only negative was the flys. We were absolutely swarmed, again this was June. Strangely they weren't as bad right on rocky shore, but we were glad to have our clam along.
The sites right on the water (yes it's Lake Superior) book up very early. I think we made our reservation last year. The sound of those waves and the cool breeze off the lake make it very hard to wake up in the morning. Beautiful and completely different sunsets each day.
We plan to go back.
