Pend Oreille Lake, Hope, ID

Lake at flooding stage, so boat ramp here closed which means no one here! Great pizza place in Hope and cool boondock nearby as well.

Great pic! We will be there mid-June. Any recommendations on where to stay? Sounds like you boondocked? And what was the name of the pizza place?

Hi Pat! Were at Smith Lake 5 miles north of Bonners Ferry. Sandpoint CG are ok, however here there are only 7 campsites.... Probably heading back towards Montana in a few days; Big Hole was recommended and looks very nice.

Driving and exploring route to Canada

Hi all
Yay, August we leave to pick up our gal at ETI!

Seeking a mostly boon-docking /state park route to and fro Chiilieack. Heading from Connecticut and driving back south down pacific coast some .

Anyone have a good route to share with hot springs or hiking included?? Love insight, addresses, locations...

Thank you

Beautiful area, Ross. Thanks for posting the photo reminder.

Gee, you're on the road so much, by the time you get home they'll have built up everywhere along Osos Valley Rd from the fwy all the way to the beach (At least it looked like that the last time through!).

It would be more productive if you started a new thread on the topic.

Hi Adeline, go to one of the main topics in Forums, which in your case would be "Trips and Travel Planning", click on it, and on the left at the top there is a little black box... "New Thread". That should get you going!!

Also a good practice is to hit “QUOTE” below the post that you are replying to because if you just do a new post the context of your question or exactly what you are referring to can easily be lost. This is especially true if you are replying to a post that is not directly above your reply.

And later you can learn multiquotes, editing the quotes you reply to, and to use BBcode HTML tags.

That's been a concern of mine. Not that I've investigated further, but it seems that one can Quote another's post and then edit it to say the exact opposite of what was said.

I've edited a quote before, for brevity, and wondered at what point would one cross the line.

True. I use it to reply to a portion of a longer post, and hopefully never to change it's meaning.

It's easy enough though to just go back to the original post if the meaning is in doubt.

on forums where light hearted banter are de rigeur, changing the meaning of a quote in fun is not uncommon. usually followed with a "HTH" (Hope That Helps). :-)
