Technically this is my side window...but the back one is split in the middle so reflections work better on the side.

First one out our back window at site #24. Shot of town at the Baby bathtub hike parking lot just below c.g. There is a better view from the c.g. view spot area.

Hi David,
We stayed there in 2012 while touring Utah’s fabulous red rocks and canyons. That campground was perfect for exploring Capital Reef and getting caught up on laundry. The campground in Fruita looked amazing and would be another option to explore the area if you didn’t need laundry facilities.

Yes, the NP Fruita campground is wonderful, we stayed there last week and loved it. Always fully booked up months ahead so you have to plan well in advance...almost no chance of getting in by just stopping by. In Torrey this time of year that is the case everywhere.

Didn't know there was more than one trail up to Delicate Arch. Having coffee in the sandstone fins in Devil's Garden today...and trying to keep Mary back from the edge

One is a about 1/2 mile up a steep hill the other is 1 1/2 miles up a really steep hill. Been to Canyonlands yet? I want to see your picture of Mesa Arch

The short trail only takes you to a fairly distant viewpoint of the arch. If you want David's photo, you have to take the longer trail that includes a long stretch of slip rock. You can wander off the normal trail & get some interesting views of the arch.
As to Mesa Arch, here are a couple of mine. Hard to believe that at 6:00AM there are 20 photographers all fighting for the "perfect" image. The worst part of Canyonlands is they closed the hike to False Kiva due to damage by idiots. My favorite location in the southwest. Unfortunately, I got there at a time of terrible light, and had hoped to get back.

Love the False Kiva photo! I don't care what time of day Mesa Arch is one of my favorite views anywhere. We did the long trail to the Delicate Arch in the middle of the day with the temps somewhere in the 90s. It almost killed me I'm a path of least resistance person and did not know what I was getting into. Kind of like when we took a full size pickup down the Shaffer Trail and both of us are terrified of heights.
Hoping to put a trip together back to the North Rim followed by a stay at Muley Point for a couple of days, so I can locate the Fallen Roof Ruins, then hit Canyonlands again for about three days.

If you didn't like the hike to Delicate Arch, you would hate the one to False Live. The final 400 yards or so just about killed me. It has never been an official hike - you had to ask a ranger for directions. I guess they had too many individuals that decided to rebuild the kiva and finally shut it down.
As to Fallen Roof, I have a link in this post to directions. I have to admit they are not perfect. The first time I tried to find it I walked by. I eventually reached another ruin & turned back. On the way back I took a break and while getting my breath back heard voices. A bit unnerving when you are in the middle of nowhere, but I wandered a bit further and found the Fallen Roof Ruin. A couple of other photographers were on their way down from it. Definitely worth the stop.

I may have been on the right trail to Fallen Roof but it just didn't seem like I was heading in the right direction. Next time I'm going to take my GPS . We decided just head back and run up the Road to Mule Canyon and hit the Fire Roof Ruins. I was certain we could find that one.

Me thinks you're being way too polite. That went way beyond idiotic.
