Well, Jon is a genius, but in this case he just uses the West Marine chair instead of the stock cushions. They sit on top of the cabinets - no legs.

On top of the cabinets. ETI uses hinges, Casita's totally lift off.

Far from genius! I removed the top from the first one I changed to add a leatherette cover over the plywood, then managed to reattach the plywood with screws 1/2" too long - made 3 new holes in the fiberglass shell at the lip just above the marker lights. A little white epoxy and you would never know it!
Still, the chairs are far more comfortable than the original cushions, the backs don't fall down like the originals, and I have taken them outside a couple of times. If you want to use the front table as a bed it adds a problem, but I haven't needed it, and they make getting into the storage bins a bit more difficult than with the original cushions, but overall I found it an improvement.
