Right you are Senator. Had a friend who went to school at Houghton, Michigan, he had some great deep snow stories. I have seen clearance limit tape for building logging roads about 12 feet up on the trees. Put up by foresters on snow shoes. Another sight I hope to see one more time is that big penguin at Cut Bank Montana. Who has seen the grave and statue of Old Shep at Fort Benton and heard Jack Gladstone relate the story in song?
We really like Montana. And the U.P.

Sorry, computer would not let me edit, but Mt. Baker holds the worlds snowfall record, 1,140 inches in one season, 95 feet. Scott

Looks beautiful, and here we are suffering in slop, with temps rising above freezing every day for the last while.

Just came in from outside, I had to clear away snow from my high efficient heat pump which keeps the sun porch heated and from the intake/exhaust of my house boiler which is also low to the ground, my gas meter had to be uncovered according to the gas company to keep it operating, and finally off my 3' sun awning on my sunporch.
The snow is up to my waist in some areas and piling against my windows, I took a broom to them. My next home is going to have all high mounted windows....
I feel sorry for the people stranded overnight on the turnpike, but traveling in this weather is risky. BlackJack will have to wait until tomorrow.
