Read and learned from his posts, but never got the chance to meet.

Jim will be missed. Condolences to Noelia and his family.

I never got the opportunity to meet him, but I really enjoyed all of the words of wisdom he has peppered in this forum. My condolences to his family and loved ones, may he rest in peace.

Jim was always quick to welcome new members introducing themselves to the forum. We’ve lost a good one. Peace to him, and heartfelt condolences to his family.

Goodbye to the man that at times seemed the heart of Escape Trailer Forums. He always had a good word, very positive, we met him once at Osoyoos and he was as nice in person as on the forum. Thanks for all the information over the years Jim, you will be missed.

I just saw a post from a new member and felt compelled to immediately reply and welcome them knowing that Jim is gone. He will be missed in many ways.

Hi: All... It's never easy to say "Goodbye". We didn't always see eye to eye, but there was room enough on the forum and in the Escape family for both our "Quirky" personalities. Our heart felt condolences go out to Noelia and Jim's extended families.
Regards Alf& Mary Anne

Richard, I do hope you will somehow convey all of our condolences to Noelia. The last time I spoke with her was at the Escape Rally the year Reace and Tammy divested themselves of ETI. She was in their trailer babysitting the pups. Jim was out doing what he always did….socializing with everyone. He had asked me a question that I needed to research. It took me a while to find him, lots of places to “hide” in that campground. Noelia probably wouldn’t know who I am like Jim would, but I hope she knows that many Escapees share her loss and her sorrow.

Yes. Noelia knows we have her back. We live about 30 miles away. She also has a robust family support system in place. At some point in the not too distant future, I will take up your suggestion and compose an email to her. I will include comments that were made after my announcement of Jim's death. I'm sure she will be comforted for them. Thanks.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing and, like many others, send my condolences to his family. While I never had the privilege of meeting Jim in person, my interactions with him on-line always left me with the feeling that he was a kind, caring, level-headed and very knowledgeable person. He will certainly be missed.

I never met Jim nor recall interacting with him on this forum. He must have been a great guy.

I’d enjoy reading some of his posts, but I don’t know his username — if anyone knows classic posts he wrote or could share his username, I’d read.

It was cpaharley2008. Took me awhile to figure out his user name but it was obvious.

A CPA who used to ride a Harley.

Reading all his posts would be a lot of reading.

Wow. Yeah, I read a lot of his posts and even PM’d with him. Thanks Ron for answering my uninformed question. He was one of the legends on this forum.

I never met Jim outside of this forum but his helpful nature and enthusiasm for Escape and camping was remarkable. My condolences and best wishes for his family.

It’s the little things he did for us all!

8 years ago, when Debbie and I were planning our trailer, I posted our intended interior color scheme. Jim made a suggestion for the kitchen counter backsplash screw covers, of all things! We followed Jim’s advise and I think of him, and our first encounter every time I look at our backsplash! He will be missed in so many ways! Rest In Peace, Jim!

As I have mentioned before, Jim jumped on my interest in railroads, and came up with a lot of suggestions for railfans traveling in Pennsylvania. I didn't know then he was ailing, and hoped to meet him before too long on one of our trips through PA. Sadly, it was not to be. Keep traveling, Jim.
