Maybe I should get something rigged up?

I really feel for our northern neighbors...If anyone knows of an Escape owner that needs help during this flooding please let let us know so we can help.

Our mayor did an interview with CNN, who thought for certain shelters would be overwhelmed, but in fact there was so many unaffected by the floods offering assistance and a place to stay, that the shelters housed very few.

We went out to our rec land today which is on a small river to see how much land we lost, and if we lost any buildings. Fortunately we lost only about 20' of treed land along about 1/4 mile of the river. It was up very high, and caused a fair bit of destruction. Lots of big trees floating by.

Here are a couple quick cell phone shots. I got some on my dSLR, but need to download them.

I'm one of the folks stranded in Canmore. Was supposed to be leaving for home on Thursday. No word yet on when the highway will reopen.
