I did look at the original picture, but didn't interpret it correctly -- yes, that is basically what I had in mind, though it doesn't show how the table components nest into the bench.

I didn't think that two sections (which would be the bench back and seat) would be sufficient for the table. You've got a 48" space for the dinette. I would guess the back and seat only add up to about 30-36". But I guess you don't want the table to take up the whole 48", or you'll have problems getting backsides around corners.

That might add to the cosiness of a "living room look " with a u-shaped dinette , and place to put ones feet up !
Ottoman... more storage, I like it

The only issue I see in all of this is where are you going to put the table while "lounging"?? Seems to me if you go with the ottomans, you leave the big table at home and use a tv tray or one of the flip up tables Escape offers.

More importantly, where do you put your drink if you don't have a table??

Mine is usually on a little folding side table, as I sit by the campfire. Though, I have found out in recent years, there are places that don't allow campfires...seems weird to me.

I am not much for lounging around inside, but I do notice when I go to campgrounds there does seem to be a lot of people staying in their trailers. As usual, I seem to be an exception.

We used to have a Chinook with this type of seating which was wonderful. I have asked the folks at Escape something like this might be possible but haven't heard back.

Before deciding on the u shaped dinette, I thought I wanted the folding table/magazine rack/cup holder Camping world sells but it won't install on the curved trailer body.

I'm a wanna-be-outside person too Jim. But, I'm looking to the future. Remember, that blowing sideways rain at the Oregon Coast that I'm looking forward to? A week of that kind of weather and I know being inside and have a comfortable "livingroom" is going to be important to me. YMMV
