In our old trailer the pump never ran at night because it didn't have a toilet. That's one of the things about the Escape that "changed my life". I can now drink infinite beer while sitting around the campfire, knowing that when I have to go in the middle of the night, I won't have to battle mosquitos on the way to the bathroom. Now that the water pump will no longer wake my wife, I don't even need to feel guilty about the beer anymore.

Re: Silencing the Escape 19 Water Pump

I was thinking of getting one of these for the new Quahog... 15X15X12, is there room on the counter top or should I run a tap under the sink for outside use?

Re: Silencing the Escape 19 Water Pump

We just picked up our new 19' yesterday. No problem with a noisy pump. The pump source and drain are isolated from the rigid pipes with flex tubing. I'll see if I can post a pic from my phone.

Re: Silencing the Escape 19 Water Pump

Great, perhaps Reace already made that modification/improvement on the newer models.

I would appreciate a picture of the factory solution. It is probably more elegant than what I came up with and I may want to implement it on my trailer.

Re: Silencing the Escape 19 Water Pump

A few workarounds that I did in my Bigfoot and intend to do when I purchase my Escape.

1/ Loops of high pressure line to eliminate vibration in PEX plumbing
2/ Pump mounted on rubber pad
3/ Surge tank to allow pump to be turned off at night. Lots of pressure for toilet flushing, etc.

Cheers,
Kevin
