Sliding table
I thought the tables came with a locking mechanism of some sort, mine has none and the table slides pretty easy. I did find this http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f8...ch-1100-2.html thread on the mod, which I guess I now have to do. Did they just miss it on mine or is this how all the newer ones are coming?

The sliding table on our new 21' has a black knob on the underside that is used to lock the top in place.
I was disturbed by the lack of quality in the plywood used, it was very poor quality CD, full of knots, splits, voids, and not sanded at all. My wife actually got a couple of slivers while adjusting the table. One of the first things I did upon reaching home was remove the table, fill in the rough surface, sand, and paint the bottom of the table.

I think the table lock depends on which table, the side to side large table should have a screw in knob, the smaller front to rear with the "U" dinette does not have a lock.

correct and you have the smaller table with the "U" dinette, just like mine? there is no need for the lock on the smaller table fore and aft motion. You can use a small bungee around one leg if you can not make yours more tight and harder to move

Good information Jim. We have the one that slides side to side.

I need to do the table latch mod and am looking for a source. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!
