Overton's 20% promo today 7/5/16

FYI. Overton's One Day 20% off promo good until 11:59 ET tonight. Promo code "HOT". Works with the Springfield pedestal and brings it down to $256 with free shipping. Already have the pedestal and love it but was on the website looking for a boat cover and thought I'd share for those that might be considering.

Overton's certainly does use promo's a lot. I know when I finally went to order one (after sending back the Dicor pedestal) it was not on sale. I was going to order it anyway to have Carl deliver to me at Osoyoos, and when I went back there was a 20% promo that just started.

So, for anyone wanting one, order now to save, and should the sale have ended and you have the time, just wait, it will be back.

Plus, Overtons sent me a $50 gift card with my pedestal. I soon discovered though that most of the smaller things I would use the card on, like fishing gear or clothing, do not ship internationally. Not sure why this is when they do ship a lot of their stuff up here.

Forgive me if I missed it. How easy is it to check the batteries/electronics with the standard full size table that slides side to side and the U shaped dinette? Not a whole lot of room behind the table, are people putting on four way sliders to access the back bench? Scott

Haven't heard of access to the back bench being a prime reason to go with the Dicor 4-way slider, however that will give you up to about an extra foot depending on where you mount the Springfield pedestal.

When I heard they were putting the batteries in the back bench I wondered if they would be better there. While it does open up some more storage under the curbside dinette bench, getting in that back bench is a PITA. You have to remove the back cushion then the seat cushion and get them up front and out of the way to do anything there so am glad our batteries are where they are.

I do like having the dual six volts in a semi heated space. We used rigid foam insulation to isolate the rest of the back bench from the outside access hatch. Should help keep the trailer a little warmer this fall.

As it is now I have to pull the table to get any type of room to access the battery box, pump, and EMS. Just wondering how easy it is to access that bench with the Springfield. Scott

One of the reasons to go AGM, no need to access the batteries for maintenance.

I have the original table and U dinette with the original slide and Springfield leg. I have the slide going front to back and have no issues getting to the batteries although it is a bit tight. Between the swiveling and the sliding it works fine.
