Hi: Iowa Dave... One of the first mods I did to our U dinette was to move the slides 1 1/2"s towards the front edge of the table. This allows a bit more space to fit me to the table. At the same time I reset the spacing a bit wider to make it slide better.
All those years of hearing about "Starving children" and eat up your dinner took a toll on me!!! Alf

Folks never had to implore me to eat it all. I never thought about moving the slides, I built a smaller table. And I still have to get in last.
