Furnace parts info

I thought it might be helpful to have links in one post to most of the furnace replacement parts that members might ever need to obtain. These are parts for furnace DFSAD12131. These part numbers and links are current as of July 2023. My hope is that this thread will be easy to find in the future for any forum members searching "furnace parts".

Sail Switch, part #33081

PDX RV: https://pdxrvwholesale.com/products/...-bracket-33081

Circuit Board. The Fan50Plus board from Dinosaur Electronics is a direct replacement but higher quality than the original factory board.

Dinosaur Electronics: https://www.dinosaurelectronics.com/Fan_50_PIN.html

GetRVParts Atwood OEM board: https://getrvparts.com/atwood-31501-...eplaces-38676/

Igniter, part #35100

PDX RV: https://pdxrvwholesale.com/products/...assembly-35100

Gas Valve, part #31098

PDX RV: https://pdxrvwholesale.com/products/...as-valve-31098

Furnace Tune-Up Kit, option to bundle several components together for a discounted cost

PDX RV: https://pdxrvwholesale.com/products/...31-tune-up-kit

There are several good online suppliers of RV parts that carry most Atwood furnace parts if any of the links above stop working, searching on their site by the part number will usually find the part:

PDX RV: https://pdxrvwholesale.com/

Panther RV Products: https://pantherrvproducts.com/

Get RV Parts: https://getrvparts.com/

There is another thread on the forum with extensive info about all kinds of furnace issues. It is titled "Furnace Troubleshooting" and you can find it at https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f...ing-20805.html

There's another thread on the sail switch that calls for part #33082. Where two different furnaces used in the 5.0?

Good to have that information in one place. Thanks, hope that I don't need it but now I know where to find it.

33082 is the number of the sail switch found on Amazon. It looks like the same switch as 33081...other sail switches for different models have either a different size/shape sail or a curved rather than rectangular plastic mounting block.

Thanks for that. FYI Amazon has both the 33081 and 33082 and they are slightly different from each other.

It is best if owners check the parts pages that might reference compatible models/serial number range. There was a point in time where a change was made to the sail switch.

I have both models of sail switches. This weekend I'll dig the calipers out of the tool chest and do some measuring and post the results here. That way, folks can measure theirs if in doubt, I do not have a means to test the force needed to activate the switch, however. That said, holding the two switches in your hand, the 33081 sail has different proportions than that on the 33082.

As promised, I measured both the Amazon 33081 and 33082 sail switches (using a Blue Point digital caliper).

33081 overall length=3.65"
sail length=2.50"
sail width=.60"
Notes: Switch action is heavier than on the 33082. The sail will not activate the switch
when held horizontally and will spring back when depressed in a horizontal
position.

33082 overall length=3.73"
sail length=2.70"
sail width=.50"
Notes: Switch action is lighter than 33081. Sail will activate switch when held
horizontally. Sail does not spring back in horizontal position. This switch is an
exact match for the sail switch in the Dometic furnace in our 2023 5.0.

Thanks for doing this comparison, very interesting. Hopefully the lower pressure needed to activate the 33082 was a design change to address possible low air flow problems with this furnace and give it a little more margin to work within a still acceptable air flow range.

One thing I forgot to mention about the 33082 sail switch. It has three small notches along the edge of the sail and the actuator button under the sail is white. The same is true for the OEM Dometic part as well. Probably the easiest ways to identify that part without having to find a ruler.
