Re: is there an easier way to hitch the trailer?

Here now an update on the happy side! The guy from the farm implement dealership came by and did exactly what Reace recommended. Now the coupler and security teeth just slide into place on their own, hehe! The guy thought it might have bent while being shipped to Ontario. He thinks it cannot bend anywhere while towing, because then the pin holds it into place. What was actually bent was the front metal part of the coupler, the area above the "ring" that goes over the coupler nose.

Now Cafe Egg can get the long overdue bath this weekend, yay!

Gerda:

We can feel your excitement now that you are mobile again, and look forward to hearing about the places you decide to go.

It is great that Reace was able to help you solve the problem so quickly.

Thank you for sharing the experience with us!

Re: is there an easier way to hitch the trailer?

Hi: gharms...Gerda: I was going to suggest using a hammer to align the coupler but I thought you'd be less than enthusiastic about someone taking a hammer to your new trailer.
If it worked for a TV camera on the moon... then why not try it.
If a hammer won't fix it then you have an electrical problem Alf

Re: is there an easier way to hitch the trailer?

Back to the original question, of "is there an easier way?"
Saw this set up (mirror this last weekend) and thought it might be of interest?
Second pics is of our camp at Pocohantas State Park in Va, just south of Richmond. Got a couple of grands with us .... so much fun!

Great shots.
Any information on how to acquire that mirror? Or was it home made?
