Photo of filler boards in dinette

Okay, wanted to tell hubby about the photo I saw that someone posted. For the life of me I can't find it. Did searches every which way I could think of. Still can't find it. I've read so many posts, I don't remember which one it was on.

Someone showed a photo of their u-shaped dinette with a filler board filling part of the space. Mentioned it made into a double bed. Which lead me to asking what the heck a filler board was. (Which has been answered, thank you very much.)

Anyone know which photo I'm talking about?

Thanks much!

Laura, with the u-shape, the table makes the dinette into a double bed. The filler board makes a twin.

Thanks Donna! These photos will help visually explain the difference.

Not the photos I was thinking of, but they'll work.

I think it showed two boards in place (now that I know you can get two) and a lap tray with a bottle of wine and two glasses on it.

So, it looks like you remove the table completely (or never have it there in the first place) to use those filler boards. And if you use the table as the base for the bed, you just lower it down and move the cushions around, without using the filler boards.

I think I'm finally getting it. At least on the filler boards. For now. HA!

I can see the filler boards being very handy when you want more room to stretch out to read or watch TV.

Will need to see and sit on the u-shaped dinette before I make any decisions about that option.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Two more questions: is the filler board a part of the cushion? Also, do you leave your table behind or store it in the trailer? I would love to have the option, but storage may be a problem.

BTW, I love your Hawaiian fabric. Looks like barkcloth)

The filler board is completely separate from the cushion. The table is stored under my daughter's bed. Note, no table parts mounted to the floor in my pictures. I didn't want to trip over those dang bowls. No dinette table works for me.

Thanks for the compliment on the upholstery, I love it. Finding THAT was one of the most difficult things about the build sheet.

Donna D's filler board

Just a quick thank you to Donna D for her fabulous filler board idea. It looks great in person, and I "leveraged" her idea for MY 5.0 hatching July 20...
