Yes, well water has a lot of dissolved solids, a filter at the hose source would help.

From an email in 2016.

"Hi Bob

The water system in the trailer has been tested to 100 psi, however it is not recommended to use water pressure in the system that high for too long. Most water pressure regulators bring the pressure down to around 50 psi which should be more than adequate.

Hope that helps.

Reace Harmatiuk, Director of Operations"

Morning update

So last night I turned off water. The fresh water tank has been showing 1/3 full (should I be concerned about that?). And in the morning I found the same puddle as with water turned on, and clearly dripping from the hot water connection. So does this mean this is _not_ water pressure issue? Is turning hot water heater off the next logical step?

Thank you!

If it’s the hot water connection at the tap can you tighten it as it maybe loose.

There is a pressure relief valve at the water heater. Perhaps that is not working properly. You can open and close it and see if that frees it up. I'd turn the water heater off for some hours first.

Valve is top centre in pix. It is closed in first pic and open with water flowing in second pic.

A pressure regulator keeps the pressure to a set maximum not an incremental change...ie if the incoming pressure is 80 it will allow a maximum of say 60. if the pressure is 60 coming in then there is no reduction. The only way for a unit like this to reduce the pressure too much is if the inlet screen is getting clogged on the reducer. I agree that you might have too much pressure and sediment in the lines from the well. Try filling the tank and using your trailer pump and see if the leak continues....maybe dry things out with a towel and then put down a dry towel and look to see if it shows up on the towel as a wet spot.

I have found that after awhile, particularly after travelling, the serrated ring at the bottom of the faucet is often loose. It would leak into the cabinet below, tightening that ring solves the problem. I check it whenever we make camp and also when doing dishes, just tighten it manually (righty tighty) and it solves any leaks. Good luck!
