The Metris peak torque is at 1250 RPM. This is amazing for such a small engine. The 2021 models are 9 speeds. Should tow a 19ft with some safety factor.

Disc brake modulation is much better and less chance of locking up the trailer wheels. I would upgrade. Even road bicycles have disc brakes as standard now.
