One should never leave a battery in storage without a trickle charge. It not only loses its charge but also calcifies the battery even to point of destroying the battery. I leave mine in the garage...

I remove my battery out of the trailer into my attached garage that stay above freezing. I connect it in parallel with another deep cycle battery that has a 60 watt solar array and charge controller....
