Agreed. Velcro on the side is the way to go. The ribbon helps but not enough. Updated hatch hinge over microwave; had to buff out, clean up the ugly.

New plan to keep dinette cushion back in place seems to be working.

Test results this morning: Cushion doesn't flop down like before. It does try, but top of cushion only gets 4-5 inches away...

Right. Have an alternative plan I am going to try: bought wide ribbon I will pin to back of cushion at each end and running down wall and underneath seat where I will staple to the wood. Might work....
