There was no storage box option when I got my trailer, and the dual 6V batteries are under the dinette seat, towards the front of the trailer. They are easy enough to access for the once or twice a...

David, with the dual 6V batteries, you will be good to boondock for at least 4 nights. If you ever needed you could add solar later. I mostly boondock, and have had the thought of solar in the back...
