You have to have your awning in it's highest position to use the screen room, something that is not always desirable. All Escapes now have the same axle. Water filter i can be purchased at wallyworld.

I believe in the 17 Escape you have one 120v located at rear dinette by the floor rear and one on the end of short cabinet by the door front, and the one at the kitchen end.

There is no side in a 17' and besides that a child does not know that rule, just saying, there is more chance with the sideways turned stove. I know Casita's installs them that way in some models...

Back to you Robert, one caveat with the stove turned sideways, you have to reach over one propane burner to get to the other, could possible be a safety issue with children.

I did it on my 19' Escape because I wanted the window away from the door for a better balance look inside and outside. But you have to switch the stove since the window can not be near the stove.
