FIXED - thanks Rubicon for the expanded look.
It turns out that when I removed the outer retaining ring the whole thing just blew out.
I'm thinking that it was not completely seated when installed...

UPDATE. As I was messing around outside I noticed there was water running out of the outside shower door. Inside there appears to be water coming from behind the fixture.
I did check this earlier...

I've taken apart the pump and checked the check valve, so to speak. Nothing on it but I blew softly backwards to clear it just in case. I also lifter the rubber diaphragms and cleaned them...

thanks, got the bed propped up and the little panel removed.
I've tried to reasonably tighten all the fixtures and even tried the pump priming process that Escape has on you tube.

I am un-winterizing and when I filled the water tank and turned on the pump (after using city water and purging system) the pump cycles after I turn everything...
