5.0 Lift kit when you don't need one

We have an opportunity at a 2023 5.0 that has a lift kit on it. The problem is our Nissan Frontier SV 4X4 bed side walls are only 52" and the lift kit, of course is for bed side walls >56". Has anyone towed a 5.0 with the lift kit but a lower truck bed?
I asked ETI if they could remove the lift kit but they said they could not accommodate the request.

Thanks
Gino

It should not be a problem at all.

1. The presence of the lift kit should not be a problem as long as your hitch-height can be adjusted high enough to provide for ~level trailer when towing. See the current 5.0 Towing Compatibility Guide for hitch height info.

2. Though ETI doesn't want to provide the accommodation, IF they are still using the bolt-on lift kit that was common through mid 2022 then any competent mechanic (perhaps you?) can remove that lift-kit (essentially a bolt-in spacer block) after you take delivery. ETI should be willing to at least confirm that the 2023 lift kit is still a bolt-in spacer block type.

This webpage shows the lift-kit parts used by ETI for trailers up through at least mid 2022 along with written and video installation instructions; removal is simply the reverse: Torflex Lift Kit for #10 axles on eTrailer.com

3. IMO generous bed-rail clearance can be a blessing on some ocassions.

Gino,

The lift kit is a matter of removing 8 bolts. Any shop can do it. https://www.etrailer.com/tv-Demo-Dex...71-725-02.aspx

Thank you all for the great info. Looks like things will work out fine. I can definitely remove the spacers later if I want as it looks to be a pretty simple process. I was mainly concerned about the geometry with the lift kit and the 1500 miles back home but that is a non-issue once I looked at the specs.

Sure appreciate the help. We're keeping our fingers crossed for the drawing on Monday!

We have the lift kit but our truck bedrail height didn't require it.

We got it more to prevent dragging the rear bumper when going through ditches and such. Also because our truck is old and we plan to replace it sometime and new trucks all seem to be taller.
