Looking for 5.0TA owners with Andersen hitch and Silverado short bed 5’8”. Your experience(s) with respect to hitch/kingpin adapter positions as well as 2.5” trailer lift. I noticed a lot of F150 5’5”... guess I have the wrong TV
I have a short bed Tundra and a 5.0TA. I have the Anderson rail mount hitch. I initially installed it forward. Had some clearance issues with the side of the bed but could hook up with tailgate down.
I recently reversed and have it to the rear. I have plenty of cab clearance and can jack knife over 90 degrees. I particularly like that the total rig is shorter so I can make less wide turns in town driving. You do have to watch the tailgate when hooking up.
I have a 2012 Dodge Ram1500 with 2016 Escape 5.0 TA. Trademasters mounted my Anderson Hitch, Escape mounted the hitch block on the trailer. Hitch sets in the box backwards. Have had no problems with this set up. If you need more info or measurements contact me ethanallen2@me.com
