I’ve had a 2012 3.5, followed by a 2015 2.7, and now a 2020 3.5 again. The 2020 was purchased because EMP from a nearby lightning strike, and 4 months in and out of the shop failed to determine the problem(s) or to render it reliable. And I beg to respectfully disagree with you. The 3.5 develops both more torque and more horsepower. I never work it at max, but if I punch it at 60 mph when towing, the 3.5 will pin me back in the seat and be up to 80 mph in a couple of heartbeats. The 2.7 will not do that. And I would add that a wagon pulled by 4 horses means that none of the 4 horses has to work as hard as two horses pulling the same wagon.

Edit. Ps, hope your trailer and you are ok given your posted location
Yes. We live inland about 22 miles, right of off I-75. Very little wind and only a 50 minute power outage the morning the storm passed out in the Gulf.

Yea, Ross. I still like the 3.5 much better than the 2.7!

Be interested in the new ram inline 6 turbocharged engine. I think it’s in the Grand Cherokee. Not much feedback as it hasn’t made it into the trucks yet.

Where do you see this? Am only seeing 2.0L turbo for 2024, then the V6 Pentastar & V8 Hemi.

My 1978 Mercury Zephyr station wagon had a 302 (5L) V8 in it. It gave me a regular 20 MPG on the highway. I drove it like a race car and blew it's headgaskets at about 160,000 miles. It was a fun car that got me just about anywhere I wanted to go.

The 3.5L Ecoboost makes double the power that that old V8 did, and gets better MPG.

3.0 inline six, twin turbo - probably screams.

For whatever reason that engine never made it to the Grand Cherokee; not sure if it did in any other Stellantis U.S. offering either. For 2023 the only engines available are the NA V6 & a Plug In Hybrid. Bye bye Hemi.https://www.caranddriver.com/jeep/grand-cherokee-2023

The Hurricane was available on the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.
The hemi was still available in 2023 for the Grand Cherokee L but not the regular length models.

the 22" wheels that came with this 'Stealth' package are likely going to be swapped for some 18" with BFG KO2 all terrain tires....
Nice looking tv

You no doubt already know this but don’t forget to swap your spare as well. Running in 4Auto with a mismatched tire can quickly wear out the clutch plates in the transfer case.

My bad it’s the Wagoneer, the high buck vehicle.
Rumor has it the inline will be in the 2024 Rams

I follow Formula 1. Several years ago I knew the V8 NA motor was a thing of the past.

For trucks, it seems the Twin Turbo V6 it the new hotness. 1st F150, 2nd Tundra.....When will Chevy give up the LS V8?
