Did you install the mirrors?

I did install the mirrors, they are the basic Boost mirrors and are nice for towing and I find them to be great for general driving. I design and sometimes drive class 8 semi-tractors and I'm used to having nice mirrors, so I wanted to put these on the truck and not have compromise optics.

My wife thinks the right mirror is too low for her (she's kind of short) and she can't see the convex mirror very well from her driving position. It still works for her as a rear view, but she can't really use it for checking the blind spot like I can. So one caveat there.

I do love the blue. I ordered it sight unseen and it's a nice bright metallic blue. I work for Daimler and have driven M_B cars for years, and I'm kind of tired of dull, conservative colors. Most of the lease cars coming through our system are white, black, dark blue......M-B has a very dull color palette.

I’ll have to check out the boost mirrors, if they have heaters and adjustments like the stock mirrors I’m sold! I hear the clearview mirrors have heaters, but I’m not sure about integration with the adjustment controls.

Whoa, yeah. Guess I’ll be ordering some Boost mirrors. Nice! That’s what we need for towing with these.

We decided to go with Thule Hullavator Pro kayak racks, which are mounted on two Thule roof racks. Expensive, but well worth it since they have gas shocks to help lift the kayaks up onto the roof of the truck. If necessary, my wife can lift the kayaks up by herself.
