Hitch wheel scraping-fix?
We are towing a 21 with a honda pilot. Working well!
One problem. When driving up or down a driveway curb cut the hitch wheel scrapes. Sounds terrible, probably damaging the wheel. It is cranked up as far as it goes.
Do we search for a different brand? Trailer is perfectly level when hitched. So that's not an issue.
Help?
Thanks!
Amy

You may need to remove the wheel and you could use this instead when camping: $11 on Amazon.

I would just take the wheel off while towing.

You are supposed to take the hitch wheel off while towing. You could do damage if you don't. Another reason why I leave mine at home.

I would remove the bolt, and use a pin. You would rarely use the wheel, and a pad like Rossue posted would likely do you better. I always just use a block of wood, or three.

Make sure you get the short foot or the pin will not line up.

Very bad idea keeping the wheel on when towing. Get the pin.

Sounds like somebody removed the pin and replaced it with a bolt.
Used trailer?
