Towing a 5.0 SA

[08ranger]

We currently tow our 2013 5.0SA with a '08 Ford Ranger and are thinking about replacing the Ranger with a vehicle with more cab space. We are considering the Nissan Frontier long box and the Ford F-150. We don't have the high lift option but know it can be added if needed.
We would appreciate any comments from members who use either of these tow vehicles. I am concerned with clearance over the box when turning sharply and going over dips and humps in the road.
