Interesting, carried to it's logical conclusion you could have a train of driverless tractor trailers, each "towing" the trailer behind, stretching to the horizon. Bet the trucking industry would love that thought.

This stuff might be interesting but the "why" aspect pops up pretty quick, definitely not something I'm holding my breath for.

Can easily imagine waiting to enter the roadway at a T intersection. Kinda like waiting to cross railway tracks outside of Winnipeg as a 2 kilometre freight trains slows to crawl as it enters the east side of the city.

Should've left for work 15 minutes earlier.

I recall talking with a city police officer while in my teens, about speeding. I'd suggested it'd be great if the speed limit was restricted through electronic means. His reply was simple..."And somebody would still figure out how to go faster".

Despots aside, with all of the hackers and terrorists amongst the nearly 8 billion of us on the planet; with all the issues of self driving cars; with the complexities of technology frequently on display - I'm just happy we don't have flying "cars". Can't imagine being hit by a brown out or worse, the grid going down for a week in bad weather.
