Weight distribution hitch needed for Sierra

Does anyone use a weight distribution hitch for towing a 17B with a Sierra 1500 4x2 4.8l ?

Thank you.

I doubt you would need one, it is like putting 400 lbs in your truck bed. Your truck should have no issues.

Due to the pandemic, my life now exists of only 3 days, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Everything else has been forgotten!

Yeah, that truck is more than capable ! We don't use one on our F-150, but I have added lots of rear suspension mods.
No good deed goes unpunished.

I'd suggest you start without one. If you notice any sway or too much rear end sag, you can pick one up later.
Happy Motoring
