Weight sticker - real weight, or generic?

A quick question for the towing and weight experts... Is the weight sticker that Escape puts on the trailer based on weighing the actual trailer after manufacturing, or just a generic sticker they put on all the trailers of a particular model?

If I'm understanding this sticker correctly, the "dry weight" is:

2268KG (GVWR) - 577KG (cargo) - 107GW (cold water tank) - 23KG (hot water tank) = 1561KG (dry weight)

1561KG (3434lb) seems lighter than I was expecting.

Dry weight is without options, without batteries, water. It is a term used for the basic trailer with nothing in it.

Ah, got it. So the weight of the options needs to be subtracted from the 577KG "cargo" weight on the sticker?

You need to weigh your trailer.
This Sherline Towing Guide should help you sort it out.

Take your trailer to the CAT scales found at most truck stops. Proper procedure is first unhook, weigh just the truck. Each axle on a plate. Second weigh the truck and trailer without torsion bars, front axle on a plate, rear axle on the second plate, trailer axles on the third plate. If you want, weigh again but with your torsion bars set. This will give you a fair idea of real tongue weight.

I did this with the trailer fully loaded as we left for trip. I ended up adjusting the WDH.

There are many Youtube videos on the CAT scales and RV's

Yep, got that I need to weigh the trailer. My main question was is the sticker based on Escape also weighing the trailer?

I was not aware that Escape weighed each trailer....until you weigh your own trailer, you are dealing mainly with "specs".....plus you want to know your weight after putting your "stuff" inside....

On my 2014 E21 (old body style) the axle weight was 3.6K and the tongue .5K empty on the scales. (4.1K total.) I thought the 2017 and newer body styles were to weigh about 500 lbs. more. As suggested, take it to some CAT scales before you start adding your stuff. YMMV. I'm in Mechanicsville Va. if you have any questions.
