Senior Pass
It is apparently official that the Senior Pass will increase from $10 to $80 on August 28. This is one of the best deals around.

It will still be a good deal. A lifetime pass equivalent in cost to a 1 year pass. But for those who are or will turn 62 before August 28th it's an even better deal.
And afterwards there will be a $20 senior annual pass available too.

These can be purchased in person or online. From the sites I've looked at, there is a several week wait (up to 12) for processing; however, for requests postmarked on or before 27 August, the $10 (plus processing) fee will be honored.

The $20 annual pass, I believe, can be added up over four years to eventually have the $80 pass.

Yes, still a great deal if you pay $80.

If you have one of the participating sites nearby on their list go there and hand them $10 and your drivers license and they will instantly issue the pass.
Here are the locations you can go to and get the pass in person.

The parks also give anyone with the senior pass 50% off camping, at least that was the case at Zion. Its really an incredible deal! Zion actually gave me 50% off with the regular annual pass.
Compare the regular annual pass rate ($80) to a family of four visit to Disneyworld. At Disney, first you need to pay $14 just to park. Then a day pass is $114 for adults, $108 for children. Want a park hopper pass? Its "only" $173.....
The National Parks are the best deal out there for family/group/or even individual entertainment.

Yes, and the half-price camping applies to Army Corps of Engineers parks, too.

We usually use the pass for half price at ACE campgrounds, which by the way, are listed in a book, including GPS coordinates. Often available at their visitor centers.
The pass also covers National Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation sites.

Does Parks Canada have a similar lifetime senior pass?
I'd look for myself but I find their website hard to navigate, and I figured someone here would know.

No such luck here Mike. The only break I know for seniors which is at Provincial Parks in BC if you're a BC resident over 65 then you can get half price camping all year except from June 15 to Labour Day.
Was just checking out ON parks this morning, wow their price has really gone up, to book for two nights in a non-electric site with reservation fee is $72 Their vehicle park entry pass is $157 for one year. Here in MB our yearly pass is $40 and a basic site here around $16.
Canada is one expensive place to live and to camp!

Darn, 9 months short. Still for $80 for life we'll make that up in the half price camping quickly. Anyone that can get this by Aug needs to.

It will still be a great price for you. A real savings many places.
