Cleaning Dinette Seat Cushion Covers

Our trailer is 6+ years old now (time flies) and the seat cushion covers are looking kinda dirty with food stains and what-not. At the time of purchase, we ordered the fabric from Sailrite and had it shipped to ETI. Cushion covers have a plastic on the backside and a zipper so you can remove the cover.

Has anyone tried throwing the covers into a washing machine (gentle cycle, cold water) and then air drying?

Cushions are feeling a little "squished" as well. May go to auto upholstery place and see about getting some new ones cut.

That sounds like good advice, cold water would also keep shrinkage to a minimal amount.

Seat foam is available in a lot of places
We had replacements cut to our dimensions here

https://www.foambymail.com/

We used the lux foam high quality, there are different densities.
If you are using the dinet as a bed, that will be to firm, unless you want a very firm surface.
We only replaced the base cushion foam, the seat backs were fine as is.

I would also suggest the polyester wrap, it holds the shape better

Our cushions had totally bottomed out at 140 days of usage. The original foam is not known for it's longevity. We had our bottom cushions rebuilt to 6" thick bottom foam, the upper pieces we had modified to include a wedge for lumbar support. The cushions, at best, are not very comfortable. The straight backs need a piece of pool noodle placed behind them to give a slight angle. That alone make a great difference in comfort.
