Karate Kid, wax on, wax off
We waxed the trailer today. Used some Maguire's Medallion high end car wax that I had, and the results were shiny good.
So what is the benefit of using a Marine Wax over a high end car wax?
Also, the windows have hard water stains on them. Anybody know what might knock that off?

Turtle Wax Bug 'n' Tar does a good job on black streaks, insects, sometimes even sap.

Why is there no Steelhead? We are getting farmed steelhead at Costco here and it is tasty on the weber Q. Would love to catch a fresh one and try it. My favorite fish BTW.

I've never caught a steelhead and I've never seen a steelhead caught, therefore, they don't exist.

Dan, hard water marks may pit glass. Don't ask me how I know . Once you get all the stuff off the glass that you think may be causing the marks and if the marks still show... wax the glass! You only need to wax if the transparency of the glass has been compromised. Besides, waxed glass... the water runs off faster

My G-PA used a dry crumpled news paper to clean his windows inside and out.
I use windex followed by warm dish soap and water.I dry with a paper towel then two coats of RainEX thats good for about 6 months.

DD - I'll second that RainEX recommendation - works great, especially on our rear window that always seems to get a lot of dust on it when we travel.

Well these spots seem as Donna suggested, etched into the glass, so I guess I'll start with the vinegar and go from there.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi: DeadEyeDan... I know this won't help you much, but when I'm faced with spots etched into glass I resort to the old fashioned cake of Bon-Ami. Probably not avail. any more so I use it sparingly.
The finest modern cleaner that won't even scratch plexi-glass is Brasso. I used it on my Boler windows... made them seem to disappear. Works on headlight lens too!!! Alf

There are "cleaning" kits for headlights, that are intended to polish out years of wear in the headlight lenses. You might try those in you're dealing with etched glass.
You'll need an incredibly fine abrasive if you want to make the result truly transparent.
