I'd already looked to see what boat he had, a Saba 50, so when he said money for lithium batteries wasn't an issue I had to smile. I have friends with a similar boat and you don't much or any change back from a million bucks.
Actually since he seems to be in the lithium battery business full time I'm guessing his costs would be less than quoted.
He mentioned Varta batteries. I had them for my house bank for my boat in the Med. They were incredibly good batteries. Suffered all sorts of abuse from random charging from random sources and just kept going year after year.
