Loose radio antenna

Our radio antenna is very loose and I canít figure out how to tighten it. There is some type of toggle on the coax connector on the inside of the trailer that I have never seen before. I canít feel a nut to tighten under the foam but maybe I need to cut the foam back. Anyone else have this issue?

Yes, noticed that mine was loose on the last trip to Osoyoos Rally.
Have not looked in to a solution yet.Very surprised when i noticed during a wash and wax.
Something broken somewhere.

It's a feature. To tighten ours I located the bolt inside the trailer and tightened it from there. From then on I've been unscrewing the antenna itself for driving and reinstall it if we want to use it at the campsite.

I can’t believe it’s almost a year but I’m finally getting around to tightening up my antenna. I’m trying to remove the antenna cable from the antenna and I can’t get it off. Mine has two wing like attachments on the end of the cable that appear to be some type of locking (?) device. Can anyone help me out with removing the antenna cable so I can get a socket on the mounting nut? Thanks, Ed

OK.So, I got a new antenna from Rec Pro to replace my broken radio antenna.
Because of the thick insulation it took a bit if time toget the old one removed.Ended up clamping a wise grip on the inside nut and manged to unscrew the unit. When installing the Rec Pro antenna (14 inch mast) I found that the stud that goes trough the wall is very short.
I had to eliminate the plastic gaskets to be able to tighten up the piece that goes trough the thick wall insulation. Will use some caulking just to be sure I will not have any leaks.
Good luck with your install.
Allan.

Ok, I’m an idiot. My wife has known that for quite some time and now so do y’all. It turns out that I was approaching this from the wrong side. There is no nut on the inside and those wings I mentioned are there to prevent the barrel nut/cable assembly from pulling through when you tighten the flat head machine screw from the outside. All’s good now.
