New Trailer sealant smudge

Can someone recommend a safe product to remove the very thin layer of sealant smudge around all sealed openings? Didn't show when new. Drug it across America and thin smudges are all over. Several inches beyond the sealed joint in lots of areas.

Thanks

Generally I have found a plastic scraper used patiently will take it. I still have some smudges as well that I work on occasionally.

That little bottle of citrus cleaner Escape provided seemed to work on some of my smudges. If that doesn't work maybe a little paint thinner and elbow grease.

I keep noticing mine every time I wash the trailer so I have several options:

a. try to wash it off somehow
b. appreciate the watertight look of it all
c. try not to worry about it
d. stop washing my trailer or,
e. consider my options for a bit longer

As I see it, only option a will interfere with my beer drinking; so that one is definitely off the table!

Thanks for the tips. The Goo Gone gets good results.
