It was a bit of a dust bowl where they were set up during the rally. They were going to move to get away from that.

Re writing, after the wifi ate my post.

We moved to the water, with a converted yellow school bus on one side, with two guys who are replacing the brakes and are accompanied by a pit bull with all his original parts. They are potting plants that are either marijuana or tomatoes. Les thinks tomatoes.
Other side is a 'breaking bad' motor home with two Aussies and a babe in a bikini.
It's all good.

Yep, the school bus next to the red RV. Those guys have been working on that car since I arrived on Thursday, at least.

This was our first rally and it was tons of fun. Got to meet several forum folks face-to-face for the first time. Paula hooked up with fellow quilters, we took a wonderful wine tour, and ate great potluck food!

Thanks to Tammy, Rease and all the other ETI crew who put on a wonderful event. Looking forward to next year!

Iowa Dave.
I don't know but he sure was proud of that 30#'s of brass.

Stayed last night in a beautiful Provincial park just outside Nakusp.

We're in Lake Louise tent loop in Banff . Much nicer than the RV Loop. What an amazing beautiful drive up here even with all the road construction. Mall crawler handled the passes with aplum.

Awaiting Leon and Lindy who are coming the long way from Chilliwack thru Jasper.

We went to Banff last June. It was our last trip with the motorcycle/tent trailer. It was beautiful but cold. I can't wait to go back and sleep encased in fiberglass. I'm ready to be warm, and done with having to use bear boxes.

Hope you enjoy your trip.

This tent loop is surrounded with electric fence...I like that

I was in Banff about three weeks ago. It is a pretty town, but it was too cold to have much fun. My next stop was Jasper, where I had better weather, then Osoyoos. I should have done Osyoos -> Banff -> Jasper, but I didn't know better.

Although the weather was better in Jasper for the most part, I was worried about bears. I saw several black bears and one grizzly. A ranger told me a fellow ranger was swatted off his bicycle by a grizzly, and he had foolishly left his bear spray in his backpack where he couldn't get to it. What saved him was when the bear bit into the backpack and bit the bear spray can. An electric fence around a campground sounds like something I could support.

Paula and I arrived home from the rally safe and sound last night. We had a great time and enjoyed meeting many of the Escape folks in attendance. We really enjoyed the trailer tours and came away with many ideas for storage and other mods. The wine tour was a blast as well.
I was very pleased with the Tundra/ 5.0 TA combo. We have the smaller 4.6 engine and it did a great job. The 6 speed auto seems to be the star of the show, finding and holding the right gear on the many ascent/ descents on highway 3 to Osoyoos and highway 90 through Idaho and Montana on the trip home. Towing mileage came in at ~ 13.0 mpg average, which was slightly better than I expected since the Tundra struggles to achieve 20 mpg solo.
Back to work now
