Well a man claiming to be gbaglo showed up with enough stories to keep most of the participants at the happy hour quite baffled. One insisted on having his picture taken with a celebrity.
In case you can’t read his full name badge it claims to be gbaglo with a tag line “read the manual rookie “

Back in the warm confines of the Escape, daughter Teresa and grandson William came over from Fort Wayne. Apple crisp, corn bread, cowboy chicken casserole for dinner. To sleep, perchance to dream!

Torque Wrench contest
We have a winner!
This year’s “torque your nuts” contest is Ralph McDonnell. Ralph is from Ohio and finished alone in first place. 6 people finished in second place three of whom were ladies and third place went to a lady too.

Thanks to Paul and Janet for organizing this wonderful rally each year. While the weather didn’t cooperate this year, the attendance was up yet again and from my point of view, it sure looked like everyone here has been enjoying themselves. Hopefully we’ll see you all , same place, same time next year,
Maybe next year we’ll finally get the real gbaglo (and sweet, lovely Leslie), not the imposter.

We concur 1000%. This is our first Mississippi rally and while the weather could have been a little better the people we met and the company we kept couldn’t have been better. What an unbelievable group of Escape owners. You all are the best. The pot luck was perfect. Great food and drink. Although I did have my eye on that fishing pole, hot Dog roasting, hangy treasure.

Being an Iowa native, I was watching the weather and between the mosquitoes and the weather it sounds like things could have been a little better. But not to worry. I’m sure the wit and wisdom of Iowa Dave made up for all of that. Loren.

Thanks for posting the photos Ralph!
I reoriented them because they were sideways. Just so you know, when you take a photo in portrait mode (phone held upright) with a phone, then upload it to the forum, the photo will appear sideways. The metadata that correctly orients the photo on your phone is stripped during the upload, so the photo reverts to it's native orientation, which is landscape. This has the effect of rotating the photo 90 degrees. To prevent this in the future, upload the photos to a computer, rotate and save them, then post them to the forum. Thanks.

By 10:30 PM on Saturday evening the campfires, fire rings and fire places had all been extinguished. But not the fire in the hearts of the five loyal Buckeye fans in site 114, who cheered their beloved Buckeyes on to victory in a game for the ages against the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Nothing like a win in a real nail biter. I think there was serious positive energy eminating from that Clam at the end of the loop. I think the power of the Iowa Dave clan did the trick. Saw photos online this morning of those stunned losing fans.
It was hard to get one photo that showed that the entire loop was filled with them. Here is a panoramic view that shows it the best I could capture. If you can open it and zoom in, you can see Escapes everywhere.

Thanks for the photo Eric. We sure had fun at Thomson. I’ll post a few photos when I get down through things. Got my pump going good. Did something I’ve never done before, bumped my battery shutoff switch to off and my EMS switch to off too. But with all the discussion we’ve had, I figured it out in a couple minutes. Putting pontoons under the Escape
cause this rain won’t stop.
