Newsletter subscription?

Newbie here. How do we subscribe to the RV Life Escape Owners Newsletter -- as in, coming to us through email? We have an ID, but aren't automatically enrolled apparently.

This is just an guess off the top of my head, but it could be you need to reach that 10 post threshold that also allows you to send Private Meassages. I think it’s 10, anyway. Just a total guess on my part, though. Hope you get it worked out soon!

Thanks. I don't think it requires a minimum number of posts because someone I know has only posted once and she gets the newsletter in her inbox. Very curious that it's not more obvious.

Well, looks like my guess was flat wrong. Haha.

Maybe this will be a “little” more helpful:

- Find the thin green banner near the top of the forum page
- Select “User CP”
- Under “Your Control Panel” and under “Settings & Options” select “Edit Options”
- Under “Messaging & Notifications” check the box for “Receive E-mail from our Community”
- Scroll to the bottom, and select “Save Changes”

I think I transcribed that correctly. Hope it works

What you transcribed makes sense, and I followed it. But that box is checked. LOL! My friend couldn't remember how she subscribed. And when she sent me a copy of what she receives, there was no way to divine how to set up a new subscription.

Perhaps this is just a weekly summary of what has happened on the forum? -- checking "weekly" vs. "instant" delivery? At the top the subject line says “Escape Trailer Forum Newsletter Issue 27," so I thought it was something more than a collection of new posts for the week. It also includes "How to..." information and an option to see past issues of the newsletter. Sorry that I can't seem to figure out how to post what it looks like -- not a URL.

Hmm. Now I’m really baffled. There’s always the “spam folder” issue that can make emails seem to disappear. If you’ve considered that already, does the logo you see in your friend’s newsletter match the one below? It’s from the most recent newsletter we received today - which is “Newsletter Issue 273” vs the “27” you mentioned (could be you couldn’t see the full number on your copy).

Yes, that's the one. I confess I just emptied my spam without looking for it, but I've been on here for a few months and usually double check spam before emptying. Do you get your newsletter weekly then? Is there a way to reply to the admin for the newsletter yourself?

Okay, I think I can be of some useful help now - finally! At the bottom of the newsletter e-mail we received today there is contact information. It reads: “This email was sent by: support@escapeforum.org”

Maybe I should have just led with that from the beginning?

I hope the folks at that e-mail address can help (and do so a bit less circuitously than my efforts, haha).

SUCCESS! Here's what support said -- "Log in to the forum and then select "USER CP"
From the left side menu choose "Edit Newsletter Preferences“ Fill out any needed information, then select "Edit Notifications“ and then “Forum Newsletters“ Make your selections and then scroll to and save." I could never seem to get to that last Forum Newsletters step before. I'm sure it was just me. Thanks so much @YakRV!
