5.0TA and GMC Canyon

Hi everyone, I'm new to the board. I currently have a 2018 GMC Canyon Duramax Diesel long bed and a Winnebago micro Minnie travel trailer. I'm located in the Florida panhandle and am really really really wanting an escape fifth wheel. I've already talked to the folks in Chilliwack to see when the potential build dates are and am planning to visit the factory in travels up there in September. what I am interested in is finding someone in the southeast United States who has the same combination TV and trailer. I would love to drive a GMC Canyon or at least ride in one while it's pulling the escape fifth wheel to see how it feels and compare it to pulling a bumper pull. I'm retired and I'm willing to travel. If anyone can help me out, please let me know. Thanks! Greg

That maybe hard to do, I remember asking someone to let me ride their Harley before purchasing one myself and was told I had a better chance to win the the lottery before riding his bike!! Just seeing one and asking for responses maybe the only way you will be able to experience the tow feeling. Most people are glad to show your their Escape while at rest, like at rallies or even on the road.

I tow a 5.0TA with a 2016 Canyon diesel, and am very happy with the experience.
I live near Fort Worth, and plan to attend the Pine Knot rally in Grapeland Texas in late October.
Maybe we can work something out.
