Another 21C in central Virginia

I picked up our 21C today in Maryland, and drove it back home to central Virginia. This was my first time towing, so I was a bit nervous about towing in the traffic around the DC beltway. As it turned out, it was much easier than I expected. Having towing mirrors and a rear-view camera gave me very good visibility all around, making all those I-495 lane changes stress free. And the e2 fastway hitch kept everything stable, even when getting passed by faster moving tractor trailers. (I mostly stayed in the right lane, driving the speed limit)

So, thanks to all of you who have provided advice and input in the team leading up to delivery! Now I'm officially an owner, maybe I'll meet some of you in person some day!

Congratulations on your new pride and joy. The waiting is over.

I think, that after months of waiting and with a little anxiety about towing, many folks have the same experience, it's really not all that difficult.

Sounds like the traffic experience was as typical as you'll find anywhere. Next: navigate a crowded mall parking lot and park between rows of cars.

Congratulations on your new Escape! We lived in Fairfax for 20+ years and while the beltway is not as bad as some areas of the country, it is no easy task during rush hour. Hope you enjoy your trailer and get a chance to attend the Escape rally next year where you will meet a lot of current Escape owners!

Congrats on the new 21C. Our daughter and her family live in Powhatan, so we're down that way now and then. We always avoid the DC Beltway and I95 north of Fredericksburg (usually traveling westward via Harrisburg), but we'll keep an eye out for you when we're in the neighborhood.

Pretty soon we will have enough owners in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia to have our own rally on the East coast. But the annual in Osoyoos is a sight to see and one should do it at least once!

Not going to Canada until they stop requiring medical histories and/or tests for the CCP Virus.

I think we have done it at least 4 times, twice after picking up a new unit in Chilliwack, and twice direct to Osoyoos and return.

Governments have found people once again are ready to follow without question.
