Hi from Central Florida
Hi everyone, I'm ChrisAnn from St Cloud Fl. Been researching solo RVing the last several weeks. My plan is to live in my house in Fl from around Nov-Mar then spend the the other 7 mos traveling, I will most likely spend up to three months of the summer out in WA and Or visiting with friends most years. I haven't totally ruled out a small motor home but am leaning heavily to a cargo type van with tow package and either the 17' SD casita or the 19' escape. I like the size of the escape better but haven't got to see one in person yet. When I do pull the trigger on buying whatever I would like to buy a good used one, I have time to be patient so am hoping it's doable. I retired in 07 at 50, been doing some contract gigs since then, my husband wasn't ready to retire, have since got a divorce so can do what I want 😜
Hi, and any advice is very welcome

Welcome, ChrisAnn!
If you click on the Owners Map at the top of the page, you'll see that there are a couple of Escapes in Central Florida. You can also e-mail ETI (or phone) to get the names of nearby owners willing to give you a tour of their trailers and answer questions. Once you see an Escape, I have no doubt which way you'll go. Good luck!!

Welcome ChrisAnn. My only advice would be to see them in person, as Karen suggested.

I've reviewed the Casita and the Escape 19.
The biggest edge the Casita has is the availability of used.
Used Escape 19's are very hard to find, especially here in the east.
I'm traveling to the factory next week to explore even more closely. $30k USD PLUS delivery is a big nut.

I was literally on the road on my way to buy a used 17' Casita when the owner called to say it had just been sold. I then looked at a 17' Escape (a brand of which I knew next to nothing), and ended up ordering a brand new one within two weeks. The 17 lasted 2 years and I now have a 19. We loved the 17' Escape...but love the 19' even more.

I'm out in WA visiting some friends right now and it looks like someone here on the Long Beach peninsula has a 19' on the owners map. How do I find out if I can see it?

Contact Escape. If the owner is part of the referral program, they can give you their contact info.
