New non-egghead

Hello,

I started out RVing about 10 years ago with a 16' 1988 Casita. We took it on three trips before switching over to larger trailers. Jump ahead three trailers and now I'm thinking of eventually heading smaller and have been reading about Escapes, Scamps, Olivers, and Bigfoots(feet?).

For those of you that boondock with 21 series Escape trailers, are you able to add enough solar capabilities to your unit to support running the AC in hot climates?

With enough money and ingenuity, anything's possible. Have a look at .

Cool! Saw some of that before. Really would like to have a grey-water recycle/reclamation system!

Nice to see Karl, too. Anyone know how he's doing?

John, here in Houston area we stop camping early June when the temps and humidity combine for a "feels like" over 110 during the day, and resume in October. Even our newer trailer with two ACs can't keep up until after darkness falls. Our last trip that we take in early June is at South Llano River State Park which has lower humidity, but has higher temps. I just can't can't take the heat.

Love California temps where I have visited. I hope that the recent atmospheric rivers haven't affected you.

This week, I'm in Calderitas, it's mid 80s but very humid.
