New owner of a 2015 17B

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I purchased my 17B from a fellow member and so far really like my new to me trailer. I am coming from a Chalet A-frame that honestly had more storage than you could really ever dream of having in such a compact space. The 17B was very close in storage space and honestly it has a tad more and the storage space is more usable. I am excited to have the 17B as my new camping companion for my spots here in Idaho. A hot shower after a 14 mile hike is going to be a game changer for me. Few pics from my happy place here in Idaho

Congrats and enjoy your 17! Can't help but like a guy that tows with an early 4th gen Sport Edition V8 4Runner.

Congratulations! I had a 2011 17B for years before I got the urge for an oven & switched to a 21C. Enjoy your trailer. Towed the 17 with a V6 RAV4 & a Tacoma, both did the trick.

Love the 4th gen v8 sport, had a 99 4runner but it was a turd pulling a trailer. It pulled my tiny teardrop fine but my A-frame was too much. I assume yours is also a V8

Yes. Dropped in my lap when I went to a guys house to buy something off FB Marketplace. He saw my ‘05 SR5 V6 and said his was a third vehicle and he’d probably sell it if I wanted it. 2004 Sport Edition V8 4x4. In CA until 2012, hardly driven since he moved to NJ, 2 owners, dealer maintained, perfect Carfax, never used for towing and only 103K miles. I jumped on it! Sold my V6 to a coworker with 215K miles who uses it as a daily driver. He previously had the exact same vehicle and regretted it since selling.

My father also tows with an ‘07 SR5 V6.

Welcome to the Escape group! I almost purchased a Chalet years ago - they built a few spec inventory units that had no appliances that I would've purchased if they had any more, but I purchase a Jumping Jack tent trailer instead. I moved on to my Escape 21NE back in 2020 and am loving the luxury of our fiberglass trailer.

Before I bought my trailer we came really close to purchasing a 2 year old Chalet, what stopped me was that I had purchased a pickup in the meantime and so decided to go for something a tad bigger.

Enjoy your Escape, their a durable and well designed trailers!!

My first trailer (not first camping vehicle) was a Chalet LTW in 2007, and then a used bigger 2007 Aspen purchased in 2014--my son and his family now own that one. Currently I have a 17 A and it's a palace to me. Have fun making memories!

Congrats on the 17B ! Great choice, we love ours. Camped from Vancouver Island to Newfoundland, perfect size for us. Let us know how you enjoy it and the places you’re staying.
