2005 Escape 17A
We have a well maintained Escape 17A that we are putting up for sale. We are the 2nd owners and have enjoyed using it over the past 7 years on trips fairly close to home. No-one has ever smoked in it! We have done some upgrades over the years:
- Front dinette was converted to a permanent bed with massive lift-up storage underneath (with memory foam topper).
- Shelves were installed in the closet which gives a lot more storage for clothing.
- Dual 20lb propane tanks and dual deep cycle batteries with 40W solar panel. You can stay camping for a VERY long time in this unit.
- New tires last year.
- New vinyl plank flooring done this summer.
- New propane lines this summer.
Everything works! Fridge keeps things cold and the freezer keeps everything frozen with the fridge set at 2-3. Furnace works great. Stove works as it should. Batteries hold charge well. Fibreglass is all in good solid shape, no cracks etc. Water pump works, and there are no leaks anywhere. Trailer brakes work perfectly. Rear dinette folds down into a 2nd bed (sleeps 4 total). Tows beautifully behind our Toyota Tacoma.
Defects: Decals have faded in the sun over the past 15 years. The awning works well and is very clean, but the cam in one of the upper tensioning arms is starting to loose grip (I add a pair of vice grips when needed, and yes.... the vice grips are included).
Comes with the original port-a-poty. We have never used it. It's been on a shelf in our storage room since the day we brought the trailer home.
Batteries are charged and there is plenty of propane in the tanks. The trailer needs nothing to be ready for a cross-country trip. Just add your own camping gear and off you go.
Located in Cochrane Alberta. Asking $13,900 CAD.
