We would be very, very interested in your offer here. If you are still offering this, and would be willing to discuss next steps, how do we proceed?? Thank you in advance, J.L.G.

reply to Escape 21
Hello Paul! First, thank you for such a quick response. 2ndly -- Drat! I tried to send you a reply a moment ago, but got an error message blocking any private message reply(?) -- again, my inexperience here is not helpful. Short version -- yes to Tuesday next week. You could send any specifics that are convenient for you via private msg, as I did receive yours. Definitely hope that we can connect further. Thank you. JLG

Not in the market, but what does " U-shaped dinette, convertible to bench seating" mean? We are finding the back seat of the U-dinette in our 21C pretty useless, and wondering if the standard 4-seat dinette would have been roomier.

We got the U-Shape Dinette for one simple reason.
We have a very spoiled dog who must have his own personal cushioned seat to sleep on. That and we wanted the Lagoon table mount.
But mostly because of a spoiled dog.

In a typical U shaped dinette, the back seat (bottom of the U) is an enclosed storage compartment. Instead of the storage compartment, we left that open and asked ETI to build a filler board and a cushion of the same size that we could put along the back of the dinette to create the U shaped seating. The filler board is covered with the same Formica as our table top. The thought was that if we wanted to convert to bench seating, we could take out the filler board and attach it to the back of the table top (or build a new full size table top) and have the bench configuration. In the nearly six years we’ve owned the trailer, we’ve never done the conversion to bench. We still like our configuration though, because we still have the space under the back bench for storage if we want (it’s just not enclosed). And better yet, it allows anyone sitting along the back wall to put their feet underneath the bench to create more foot room for others.

Thanks, RF, for the explanation; very interesting! I'm sure that the buyer of your 21C will appreciate the additional flexibility.
I think if we were in the market for a new one, we'd consider that 'convertible' option. Couldn't do any conversion now without considerable trouble; previous owner used the under-back-seat storage for some electronics.
Did you opt for a similar dinette arrangement in your new 5.0?

We did not get that option on the 5.0, mainly because we wanted to get the Lagun table mount, which requires the under seat enclosed cabinet. The Lagun wasn’t available in 2016/2017, or we might have opted for it then too.

There’s no better reason I can think of! Still miss our appropriately spoiled ones! Spoil them while you can, my friend.
And congrats on the sale, RF Paul.
