In May of 2015, We drove the same approximate distance from Florida to pick up my 5.0TA. It was a marathon drive, as we reached the far side of St. Louis the first day, Fort Collins on day 2, Twin Falls on day 3, and Ferndale, WA, by mid-afternoon on day 4. Was it worth it? Absolutely. We got a trailer with the exact options we wanted, not what someone else chose. We got to meet the people at ETI, and I would not want to forego meeting Tammy and Reace. And although the trip out was not leisurely, the return trip could be classified as an epic road trip with stops at Glacier NP, Yellowstone, the Black Hills, and several other phenomenal locations. I would call it the “tripod a lifetime” had we not returned to BC in 2016 to once again attend the rally in Osoyoos. While I can understand “closer,” the benefits if “going the distance” are so worth it.
